Educational Qualification:
A bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following subjects is required of a candidate: Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, or any equivalent degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering.

UPSC IFSÂ Age Limit:
On August 1st, 2024, the candidate must not have been older than 21 years old or older than 32 years old.

UPSC IFS Application Fee:
For the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) (with the exception of Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates, who are exempt from paying the fee). They can pay the fee in cash at any SBI branch, or they can use the State Bank of India’s net banking facility, Visa, Master, RuPay Credit/Debit card, UPI Payment, or Internet banking from any bank.
UPSC IFS Selection Procedure
The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages including-
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for
the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and
(ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.
