Eligibility for RBI Assistant in 2023

Nationality: A candidate is required to be (a) a citizen of India or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

RBI Assistant Age Limit

To be eligible for the RBI Assistant 2023 Exam, a candidate must be between the ages of 20 and 28. Candidates from the reserved category receive an age reduction. The following table lists the age relaxations granted by the Government of India:

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the RBI Assistant 2023 Exam, a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) or above. He/she must be computer literate and fluent in the official language of the concerned state or Union Territory.

RBI Assistant 2023 Recruitment Process

The RBI Assistant 2023 exam will be held in three stages [Prelims + Mains + Language Proficiency Test (LPT)]. There are three portions of the preliminary examination: Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language.

  1. There are five sections in the mains exam: reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English language, computer knowledge, and general awareness.
  2. There is a 0.25 point deduction for each incorrect answer attempted by the contestant. If a question is left unanswered or blank, no marks are deducted.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

RBI Assistant 2023 Salary

An RBI Assistant’s basic pay is Rs. 20,700/- per month on the range of Rs. 20700 – 1200 (3) – 24300 – 1440 (4) – 30060 – 1920 (6) – 41580 – 2080 (2) – 45740 – 2370 (3) – 52850 – 2850 – 55700 (20 years) and various allowances. In addition to the Basic Pay, the RBI Assistant receives Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, and other benefits.
